SEO – WILL MY WEBSITE BE REGISTERED WITH GOOGLE?
During the course we will show you how to register your website with Google. We will teach you all the basics of SEO and how to set up and manage the strategy yourself. Most marketing agencies charge around £300 – £500 per month to run SEO campaigns for you. Along with the savings made on long term development fees you will literally save thousands of pounds on marketing fees every year just by attending this course. Web Design: Evening & Weekend courses
During the first part of the course you will learn the fundamentals of setting up a website using both online web applications, and free open-source web apps that are installed on hosted servers. We will take you through the platform options and show you how to get started with advice on concept, audience, design and layout. You will learn to embed multimedia, make your content stand out on search engines, and connect your site with social media. You will also learn how to optimise your images/video/audio for web display and learn fundamental actions that will automate processes saving you hours and hours of work:
- Inside the CMS of a pre-installed website
- Resizing & optimising images for website
- Creating a Menu for: HOME – ABOUT – SERVICES – GALLERY – BLOG – CONTACT US
- Create on-line photo galleries
- Add videos and audio to your site
- Add Google analytics and webmasters code to track the visitors to your site
- Editing the layout and colours of your website
- Installing and using widgets and plugins to extend the functionality of your site (creating shopping cart functionality, Newsletters Subscription)
Building your Website
Creation of your own professional website using your preferred system, with personalised, one-on-one advise and support from the tutor. Typical areas covered, but not limited to will be:
- Installing Your own personal Website
- Setting up your emails – login access etc
- Creating your own personal website
- Layout and site presentation of your website
- Content creation with posts, pages and menu navigation
- Adding creative features to your website such as Banners, rotating images, videos etc
Web Design Entry Requirements:
No previous experience is necessary. Although students should be fluent in English, and will need to know how to use a computer, emails, etc.
WEB DESIGN : EVENING & WEEKEND COURSES – GENERAL INFO
Once you have booked the course you will be sent a link where you help us understand what you would like to achieve from the course. Ie. What type of site are you looking to build? What is the name of your company? What is the .co.uk domain name you would like us to purchase on your behalf etc. (We will purchase any available .co.uk domain name registered FREE for 1 year (usual cost £20.) You will be encouraged to bring with you images and text content describing the key parts of your business. If this is not possible, training content will be available for students to use

Please bring with you a laptop and a charger. Website design via a tablet or mobile device is not advisable since we will be downloading software that will be required for ongoing development of your website.

Notice of Cancellation: Please inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a course. There is a cancellation fee of 30% (of overall course cost) on all course bookings. It is not possible to refund any cancellation made less than 14 days prior to course start date.
Non-attendance of courses: Please be aware that if you do miss any sessions, these cannot be transferred to another course.
Non transferable: Bookings for workshops & courses are non-transferable. You must attend the course or workshop you have booked a place on, on the correct dates and at the stated times. Cancellation policy rules apply.
Punctuality: It is very important that all course participants arrive in plenty of time. If you find yourself running late on the day of the course, please let us know as soon as possible.

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ON MY COURSE?
To make sure that personal attention is provided to everyone in the class, we keep our classroom size very small. On our standard evening and weekend courses there are a maximum of 4 delegates in all our classrooms. We also run a number of 1:1 sessions. See our pricing options for more details.
WHAT WILL I BE ABLE TO DO AFTER THE TRAINING COURSE?
After completing a web design training course, you will be able to create business websites from start to finish.
- You will be able to first design and prepare your images using Canva
- Using our drag and drop editor you will be able to easily layout your website the way you want it to look
- Also build a responsive version of your website so your website is mobile and tablet ready.
- Add advanced features to your website such as sliders and video
- Put links and feeds for your social media accounts on your pages
- Write blogs and articles to your audience
- Add and sell your products online should you wish to
WHAT TOOLS AND SOFTWARE WILL I USE:
You will learn the tools and software that other designers like to use. For example, WordPress, Photoshop, Canva, Adobe, shutterstock and much more.
HOW IS THE COURSE BEING TAUGHT?
All our courses are led by experienced Web Designers. Your instructor is available to help you through out your course. In our classrooms we do hands-on exercises, learn step by step and build practical projects on most of our courses. Typically our courses our held at one of our offices. However, in some circumstances we will conduct the training at a your premises or a location of your choice.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS – DO I NEED ANY CODING OR PROGRAMMING KNOWLEDGE?
This training course is for beginners, no prior experience in coding or programming is required.
