Requirements for this course:

• You should have practical experience with HTML and CSS before attending this course. Although if you don’t have experience in these languages, there’s no need to fear, as we also run HTML and CSS courses that would cover the basis for this course.
• If you are interested in creating responsive HTML email newsletters, please consider the HTML5 & CSS3 course too.

Entry Requirements:

No previous experience is necessary. Students should be fluent in English.

Derek Tierney has over 10 years’ experience in Web Design and Digital Marketing as a Marketing Director for BT. He is currently Managing Director of Hot Web Design and was appointed in January 2014 as the Marketing Director for JCI – JCI are a not for profit organisation who support young entrepreneurs and young business leaders in realising their potential, acting as mentors and giving guidance in their careers.

HTML NEWSLETTER COURSE – GENERAL INFO

Once you have booked the course you will be sent a link where you help us understand what you would like to achieve from the course. Ie. What type of site are you looking to build? What is the name of your company? What is the .co.uk domain name you would like us to purchase on your behalf etc. (We will purchase any available .co.uk domain name registered FREE for 1 year (usual cost £20.) You will be encouraged to bring with you images and text content describing the key parts of your business. If this is not possible, training content will be available for students to use

Please bring with you a laptop and a charger. Website design via a tablet is not advisable since we will be downloading software that will be required for ongoing development of your website.

Notice of Cancellation: Please inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a course. There is a cancellation fee of 15% (of overall course cost) on all course bookings. It is not possible to refund any cancellation made less than 14 days prior to course start date.

Non-attendance of courses: Please be aware that if you do miss any sessions, these cannot be transferred to another course.

Non transferable: Bookings for workshops & courses are non-transferable. You must attend the course or workshop you have booked a place on, on the correct dates and at the stated times. Cancellation policy rules apply.

Punctuality: It is very important that all course participants arrive in plenty of time. If you find yourself running late on the day of the course, please let us know as soon as possible.

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ON MY COURSE?

To make sure that personal attention is provided to everyone in the class, we keep our classroom size very small. On our standard courses there are a maximum of 8 delegates in all our classrooms.   We also run a number of smaller group training courses and 121 sessions.  See our pricing options for more details.

WHAT WILL I BE ABLE TO DO AFTER THE TRAINING COURSE?

WHAT TOOLS AND SOFTWARE WILL I USE:

You will learn the tools and software that other designers like to use.  For example, WordPress, Photoshop, Canva, Adobe, shutterstock and much more.

HOW IS THE COURSE BEING TAUGHT?

All our courses are led by experienced Web Designers.  Your instructor is available to help you through out your course. In our classrooms we do hands-on exercises, learn step by step and build practical projects on most of our courses.    Typically our courses our held at one of our offices.  However, in some circumstances we will conduct the training at a your premises or a location of your choice.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS – DO I NEED ANY CODING OR PROGRAMMING KNOWLEDGE?

This training course is for beginners, no prior experience in coding or programming is required.

If you know you want to become a web designer, Hot Web Design equips delegates with a well rounded knowledge on how to overcome difficulties a designer often faces. Once you successfully learn how to work on these issues, you will see your confidence build
